How we pick and verify every item
Our methodology and editorial standards, in plain language.
How an item gets on a page
Every checklist item needs three things:
- A published source we actually loaded, linked next to the item.
- A price as the vendor published it, or the words "pricing not published".
- A last-verified date.
No source, no item.
What the tiers mean
"Everyone's doing this", "Early adopters" and "Cutting edge" are an editorial classification by how established a feature is. They are not an adoption statistic and do not claim what share of businesses use a tool.
Vendor-reported results
Customer results and testimonials come from vendor pages. We label them as vendor-reported. They are not independently verified.
Sponsors cannot buy rankings
Each industry page may carry one clearly labeled sponsor slot, placed outside the checklist. Sponsors cannot buy rankings, checklist items, item order or quiz scores. How sponsorship works.
How often we re-verify
Every item shows its own last-verified date, so you can see how fresh each price and claim is.
Known limits
- Tiers are editorial judgments, not measurements.
- We have not independently verified any vendor case study or customer result.
- Some prices are promotional or vary by billing term, and should be re-checked with the vendor. Some vendors do not publish prices at all.
- Rules on AI, privacy and advertising vary by state; compliance notes are general and informational only.
